For more than five decades, be.group has built a network of acclaimed senior communities in California, while also offering assistance to older adults still living at home. Founded in 1955 as Southern California Presbyterian Homes, we are a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality living environments, health care and support services to people of all backgrounds and faiths.

Being Nonprofit

Many studies have shown that nonprofit organizations such as be.group provide a higher caliber of housing, care and services than for-profit providers. There is one key reason: The revenue we produce is invested back into the quality of our communities, programs and services—not paid out in dividends to stockholders. Every dollar we earn after expenses goes toward providing a superior quality of life for older adults.

Our name says it all

In April 2011, Southern California Presbyterian Homes officially became be.group. It’s a name and a philosophy that we feel sums up everything we’ve been, everything we are today and everything we want to be. Because our new vision, like the vision of our founders, begins and ends with the people we’re here to serve. Our job is to help them be who they want to be: themselves.
